So far this year, Simms leads the Red Wolves with 16.2 PPG and 5.0 RPG, and Ty Cockfield is in second with 15.3 PPG to his name. The only other Arkansas State player averaging in double-digits is Tamas Bruce, with 10.8 PPG and 5.0 RPG.

Over on the Cleveland State side, they’re sitting at 1-4 on the year. The Vikings’ lone win came against Coppin State, and otherwise they’ve lost to Akron, Rutgers, East Carolina and Central Connecticut. In that last game, Cleveland State’s Dontel Highsmith led the team with 17 points.

Heading up the scoring for Cleveland State this year is Kenny Carpenter, with 13.5 PPG and 8.3 RPG. Also in double-figures for the Vikings are Highsmith (13.0 PPG; 7.0 RPG) and Stefan Kenic (11.8 PPG).

Arkansas State is 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games following an ATS loss and 0-7 ATS in their last seven road games. The Red Wolves are also 0-7 ATS in their last seven games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four non-conference games.

Meanwhile, the Vikings are 16-33-3 ATS in their last 52 overall and 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 following a straight-up loss. Cleveland State is also 1-5 ATS in their last six non-conference games and the under is 39-18 in their last 57 home games.

Arkansas State has come out flat more often than not this year, even though they’ve certainly got some capable scorers on their roster. As for Cleveland State, they’ve had a couple of near misses in their last pair of games; they could easily be 3-2 right now. The Vikings have some pretty well-balanced scoring and rebounding up top, and I like them to come out and cover here. Give me Cleveland State.
