The 23rd ranked TCU Horned Frogs stayed perfect on the season, improving to 6-0 on the year, after defeating the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 89-79, this past Saturday in the Championship Game of the Emerald Coast Classic. TCU was outstanding on the offensive end of the court and had no issues securing the victory after taking a 77-67 lead with just 2:56 left in regulation. TCU shot 50.8% from the field, 41.2% (7-17) from beyond the arc, and 78.6% (22-28) from the FT-Line in the victory. The Bruins are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games. The Horned Frogs are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games.
Belmont picked up a nice win at Middle Tennessee a few weeks ago but has struggled as of late as over their last two games on the offensive end as the Bruins are averaging just 65.5 ppg during their 2-game losing streak. TCU entered the top-25 rankings this week and has been outstanding on the offensive end of the court as the Horned Frogs rank 35th in scoring offense, 21st in FG%, and 48th in 3P-FG%. Belmont is a great program, however, the Bruins have struggled on the defensive end a bit this season and as I think TCU will come out strong in this one, I’m taking the Horned Frogs to cover this spread.
