The Oklahoma Sooners look to avoid the upset bid of the North Texas Mean Green in non-conference college basketball.
The 4-3 North Texas Mean Green aim for back to back victories for the first time this season after downing the Grambling State Tigers 82-77 where a second half rally negated a two point deficit at the half. The sharpshooting Mean Green burned the nets at 57.7% and allowed 45.9% which was the difference.

The balanced North Texas attack featured five double digit scorers with Roosevelt Smart pouring in 23 points on 6-9 from the floor with AJ Lawson tossing in 12 points. Zachary Simmons and Ryan Woolridge each gave the Mean Green eleven points with Woolridge handing out seven assists while Jordan Duffey tossed in ten points.
The Oklahoma Sooners have their sights set on a third straight win after defeating the Oregon Ducks 90-80 as a 2.5 point favorite on Sunday. The Sooners were up eight at the half and traded baskets the rest of the way. OU held a slight 43.1%-41.9% shooting edge with a 34-10 advantage at the charity stripe which offset 16 more looks at the basket by the Ducks.
Oklahoma rode the scoring of Trae Young who exploded for 43 points on 11-22 from the floor and a 17-18 effort at the line while posting four yanks and seven assists. Christian James and Jamuni McNeace combined to give the Sooners 21 points and 13 rebounds while Rashard Odomes chipped in with eight points and five boards.
