The Eastern Illinois Panthers are 2-3 but are coming off their best performance albeit a loss. Eastern Illinois comes in off of an 86-83, overtime loss to the Marquette Golden Eagles as an 18 point underdog. The Panthers sank half their looks with the Golden Eagles countering at 46.6% with more threes and foul shots being the difference.

Jajaun Starks carried the Eastern Illinois offense with a monster 27 point, eight rebound performance on 9-13 from the floor with Ray Crossland adding 13 points and five pulls on 5-10 from the field. Montell Goodwin and Muusa Dama scored 12 points each while D’Angelo Jackson rounded out the top Panthers contributors.
The Bradley Braves are not accustomed to enjoying a ton of success on the hardwood so their 6-1 start is better then good. Bradley has won four straight after downing Georgia Southern 62-58 as a two point favorite. The Braves only sank shots at a 33.9% pace but that was a workable number with Georgia Southern held to 28.8% although their 19-35 effort at the line was simply awful.
Darrell Brown was the to scorer for Bradley with a contest high 19 points on 5-16 from the field and 7-12 at the stripe.
