The St. Louis Billikens butt heads with the Butler Bulldogs in Saturday afternoon college basketball.
The St. Louis Billikens are hoping to regain their early season form where the team won three in a row. St. Louis has since lost three in a row following a 65-51 defeat to the Western Michigan Broncos that was decide on a 42-29 second half WMU run. The Billikens were outshot 41.8%-36% for a difference of five field goals including an 8-3 edge on long balls.

St. Louis was led in the scoring column by Javon Bess with 14 points and five pulls on 4-8 from the floor including 6-6 at the stripe followed by Jordan Goodwin who added 13 points and seven rebounds on 6-10 shooting. Jalen Johnson gave St. Louis ten points and four yanks on 4-9 but there wasn’t enough offensive options.
The Butler Bulldogs are off to their typical fast start although we have not seen enough to determine just where this team fits in the Big East. Butler has won consecutive contests after squeezing by Ohio State 67-66 in overtime as a one point underdog. The Bulldogs allowed 46.2% shooting and countered with 36.2% but survived with 17 more shots
Kelan Martin poured in a game high 24 points with six boards and four steals on 9-22 from the field including 2-12 on threes while Kamar Baldwin gave Butler 14 points on just 6-19.The Bulldogs received ten points and six boards from Paul Jorgensen while Tyler Wideman hauled in a team high eight rebounds to go along with five points.
