We have a non-conference college basketball matchup on the hardwood on Saturday night, as the Arizona Wildcats take on the UNLV Rebels.

The Arizona Wildcats will look to climb back up the ranks after improving to 4-3 following a 91-56 blowout over Long Beach State in their last outing. Allonzo Trier led the team with 15 points on 6 of 7 shooting with 3 triples and 4 assists. DeAndre Ayton came 2nd with 13 points on a perfect 6 for 6 shooting from the field, with 9 rebounds falling just short of a double-double, while Parker Jackson-Cartwright added 12 points, 3 steals and a team-high 5 assists. UNLV vs. Arizona - 12/2/17 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The UNLV Rebels will try to rebound after having their 5-game winning streak snapped at the hands of Northern Iowa by a final score of 77-68 in their last outing. Kris Clyburn led the team with 20 points on 7 of 8 shooting with a pair of threes and 6 rebounds, while Shakur Juiston came 2nd with 13 points along with 13 rebounds and 3 steals for the double-double and Jovan Mooring added 10 points and a pair of steals despite shooting just 3 for 17 from the floor. Jordan Johnson added 7 points and a team-high 5 assists in the losing effort for the Rebels. Brandon put up 9 points and 7 rebounds, but still leads the team with an average of 18.6 points per game, while Johnson is the team’s top assist man with 7.6 assists per game and Juiston is averaging a double-double per game this season, with 13.1 points to go along with his team-high average of 13 rebounds per game. As a team, UNLV is scoring 92.3 points per game on 50.7% shooting from the field, 36.7% from behind the arc and 67.6% from the foul line this season.

Arizona is 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 5-2-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a win while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. UNLV is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 non-conference games. Arizona is 1-5-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

This has all the makings to be the game of the day, however, I’m one of quite a few that isn’t so fast to forget about Arizona’s performance in the Battle 4 Atlantis, as it may have been one of the worst tournament performances so a team with such high expectations ever. UNLV, if on their A-game, poses quite a threat to Arizona as they match up near perfectly with the Wildcats. Plus, Arizona has had their share of struggles ATS when it comes to the Rebels, and since we are getting points with UNLV at home that’s where I’m going in a game that may be better to just watch rather than bet.
