The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will look to climb back to .500 after notching an 80-73 win over then undefeated Illinois. Bryant Crawford led the team with 20 points on 5 of 10 shooting with a pair of threes and an 8 for 9 mark from the foul line in addition to 4 assists and 4 steals. Doral Moore, Mitchell Wilbekin and Brandon Childress each had 12 points to round out the scoring in double figures for the Deacs, with Moore going 6 for 7 with a team-high 6 rebounds, while Wilbekin and Childress each added a pair of threes. As a team, Wake Forest is scoring 75.6 points on 45.6% shooting from the field, 40% from downtown and 77.9% from the foul line this season.
Richmond is 19-42-4 ATS in their last 65 non-conference games and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall while the under is 13-6 in their last 19 games against the ACC. Wake Forest is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 against the A-10 and 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 home games while the over is 18-6 in their last 24 games overall. The road team is 12-2-2 ATS in the last 16 meetings between these two teams.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I’ve had Richmond on auto-fade for the majority of the season. However, Wake Forest have only won one game by double digits this season, and even though Wake is coming off of that solid win over Illinois, Richmond has done well ATS in this matchup and the road team has dominated over the years, so while I don’t like this game personally, I’d take a shot with Richmond and the points here.
