Big Ten college basketball brings us a matchup between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Indiana Hoosiers.
The Iowa Hawkeyes have struggled lately and are hoping to right the ship right away. Iowa has lost four of five after suffering a 77-73 defeat to the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday as a four point underdog. The Hawkeyes won the shooting battle 50.9%-43.8% but 18 giveaways gave the Nittany Lions nine more shots and their 12-23 effort on threes won it.

The Iowa offense leaned heavily on Tyler Cook who tossed in a contest high 23 points and hauled in 12 rebounds on 7-13 from the floor with Isaiah Moss netting 13 points on 6-13 shooting. The Hawkeyes received Ten points and five pulls from Cordell Pemsl on 4-6 while Jordan Bohannon chipped in with another eight points.
The Indiana Hoosiers look to avoid a three game slide after the offense struggled in a 69-55 defeat at the Michigan Wolverines as a 7.5 point underdog. Indiana scored 21 first half points in falling behind by 13 and never recovering. The Wolverines won the shooting battle 47.3%-40% with the Hoosiers unable to get many second looks.
Indiana needed several offensive options but only had one player reach double figures. Juwan Morgan led all scorers with 24 points and eight rebounds on 9-14 from the floor and 6-9 at the line. Aljami Durham and Devonte Green each scored seven points while Collin Hartman totaled eight boards to go along with two points for the Hoosiers.

This isn’t a matchup of the elite in the Big Ten but Indiana is the better option at home…
