The Line: Butler Bulldogs -4 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Out at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Tuesday evening, we’ve got college basketball activity on the way from the Utah Utes and the Butler Bulldogs.

Utah enters this game with a 6-1 record overall. The Utes lost to UNLV but since then have beaten Eastern Washington and Hawaii. In that Hawaii game, the Utes’ David Collette and Donnie Tillman each had 16 points.

Collette leads the way for the Utes in scoring this year with 14.9 PPG and 4.6 RPG to his credit. Also in double-digits for Utah so far are Justin Bibbins (10.9 PPG; 4.0 RPG; 4.3 APG) and Tillman (10.9 PPG; 6.9 RPG).

Over on the Butler side, they’re currently 6-2. Since their most recent loss to Texas, the Bulldogs have taken out Portland State, Ohio State and Saint Louis. In that STL game, Butler’s lead scorer was Kelan Martin with 20 points.

Martin is the top Bulldogs scorer so far this year with 16.5 PPG and 7.5 RPG. The only other Butler player in double-digits is Kamar Baldwin (13.0 PPG), but Tyler Wideman (9.5 PPG), Sean McDermott (9.3 PPG) and Paul Jorgensen (9.3 PPG) are close.

Utah is 4-1 ATS in their last five non-conference games and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. The Utes are also 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 6-0 ATS in their last six versus the Pac-12 and 5-1 ATS in their last six home games. Butler is also 35-17-1 ATS in their last 53 non-conference games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS win.

The Utes have a pretty well-rounded roster this year, which is a big reason why they’ve been successful. Utah put up a stinker in that UNLV game, but otherwise have scored at least 77 in every outing. Butler can score too, as they put up a 30-point win against St. Louis. That said, I think the Utes have control here and I like them to cover.
