Out at Stegeman Coliseum on Tuesday, we’ve got college basketball activity coming between the Winthrop Eagles and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Winthrop enters this matchup with a 5-3 record overall. The Eagles have won their last three games versus South Carolina State, Furman and Reinhardt. In that most recent game, Winthrop’s Anders Broman led the way on 29 points.

Georgia vs. Winthrop - 12/5/17 College Basketball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

So far this year, Xavier Cooks leads the Eagles with 15.4 PPG and a team-high 9.9 RPG. Also in double-figures for Winthrop are Broman (13.9 PPG) and Austin Awad (10.6 PPG), while Kyle Zunic is close on 9.8 PPG.

Over on the Georgia side, they’re sitting at 6-1 overall. Since a loss to San Diego State, the Bulldogs have beaten Saint Mary’s and Marquette. In that Marquette game, Georgia’s top scorer was Yante Maten with 13 points.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs so far is Maten, with 17.6 PPG and 9.1 RPG. William Jackson is the only other player in double-figures for Georgia with 12.3 PPG, but Rayshaun Hammonds is fairly close at 8.9 PPG and 6.1 RPG.

The Eagles are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Tuesday games and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 road games. Winthrop is also 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven non-conference games.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Georgia is also 2-5 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a straight-up win.

Winthrop actually has a pretty well-balanced roster this year. They’ve been pouring in the points lately, posting 200 in their last pair of games. Georgia is a well-rounded team as well, though they’re prone to slip-ups and limp outings. Thanks to an inviting line, I like Winthrop to come out strong and cover here.
