The Kent State Golden Flashes look to shake up the college basketball rankings with a win at the #14 Xavier Musketeers.
The Kent State Golden Flashes are trying to build some momentum heading in to their conference schedule which is generally competitive. Kent State has won consecutive contests to up their record to 5-3 after downing the Cleveland State Vikings 72-62 as an eight point favorite on Saturday. The balanced Kent State offense featured 17 points and three yanks from Kevin Zabo on 5-12 from the floor with Adonis De La Rosa adding 16 points, three yanks and seven rebounds on 6-10 accuracy. Jalen Avery gave the Golden Flashes 15 points on 5-11 while BJ Duling chipped in with ten points and six boards on 4-9 accuracy.

Xavier comes off an 89-76 victory versus the rival Cincinnati Bearcats as a 2.5 point favorite on Saturday. Xavier rode the shoulders of Trevon Bluiett who exploded for a game high 28 points on 7-14 from the floor with five bombs and 9-11 at the stripe. Kerem Kanter tossed in 17 points for the Musketeers on 6-8 accuracy while the twosome of Kaiser Gates and Quentin Goodin scored ten points each with Gates hauling in a game high ten rebounds.
