The George Washington Colonials will try to climb back above .500 thanks to a 68-64 victory over New Hampshire in their last outing. Patrick Steeves led the team with 23 points on 9 of 12 shooting with 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while Yuta Watanabe added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double as the lone pair of Colonials to finish in double figures scoring in the win. Terry Nolan Jr. added 9 points with 5 assists and 3 steals, while Jair Bolden added 8 points and 4 assists. Watanabe leads the team with an average of 14.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, while Bolden is the team’s leading assist man with 3.1 assists per game. As a team, George Washington is scoring 65.9 points per game on 43.2% shooting from the field, 30.2% from behind the arc and 69.7% from the foul line this season.
Harvard is 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 road games against a team with a winning home record and 13-4-1 ATS in their last 18 games following a win while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games against the A-10. George Washington is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 non-conference games. The favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
I think these two teams are pretty much even, as their respective records would suggest. With that said, although the favorite has had the bulk of the success ATS in this matchup, George Washington has been way too inconsistent ATS for my liking, and while Harvard hasn’t been much better, they’ve been pretty good at following up their victories and have done well on the road against strong home teams so I’ll take my chance on Harvard and the points.
