Down at KFC Yum! Center on Saturday afternoon, the Grand Canyon Antelopes will be visiting the Louisville Cardinals in college basketball action.
Grand Canyon is sitting at 9-3 overall on the season. The Antelopes have won their last two games versus Mississippi Valley State and Longwood. In that Longwood game, Grand Canyon’s

Flifi Aidoo led the team on 14 points.
Leading the scoring for Grand Canyon so far this year is Joshua Braun, with 14.3 PPG and 4.1 RPG. The only other Antelopes player averaging in double-figures is Casey Benson with 10.8 PPG, 4.7 RPG and 5.2 APG to his credit.
As for Louisville, they’re currently 9-2 this year. The Cardinals have won their last five straight games, most recently taking out Albany. In that Albany game, Cardinals guard Quentin Snider topped the roster with 19 points.
Deng Adel is the top scorer for Louisville this year with 15.7 PPG. Snider is the only other Cardinals player in double-figures (12.3 PPG), but Ray Spalding (9.8 PPG; 9.0 RPG) and VJ King (9.3 PPG) are very close.
The Antelopes are 5-0-1 ATS in their last six road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games. Grand Canyon is also 5-1 ATS in their last six overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following a straight-up win. Louisville is also 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games.
The Antelopes aren’t very dominant on the scoreboard, but they do have a pretty well-balanced team that can share the load. Grand Canyon has logged at least 80 points in three of their last five games. Meanwhile Louisville is coming off a two-point comeback win over an Albany squad they probably underestimated. I think Grand Canyon has enough life to eke in here and cover if the line looks good.
