The UC-Davis Aggies will look to build some steam after their tournament opening 77-68 win over Lamar on Friday. TJ Shorts II led the team with 25 points on 6 of 9 shooting with a perfect 13 for 13 mark from the foul line. Siler Schneider came 2nd with 11 points while A.J. John came right behind with 10 points to round out the scoring in double figures for the Aggies. Garrison Goode and Arell Hennings tied for the team lead with 3 assists apiece, while Michael Onyebalu led the way with 6 rebounds. Chima Moneke didn’t play in this game but he still leads the Aggies with a double-double per game, averaging 19 points and 10.3 rebounds, while Shorts II leads the way with 3.3 assists per game this season. As a team, UC-Davis is scoring 70.5 points per game on 47.1% shooting from the field, 40.1% from behind the arc and 71.1% from the foul line this season.
Radford is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games and 3-6 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games. UC-Davis is 13-3-3 ATS in their last 19 games overall while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 non-conference games.
Even with Moneke out, the Aggies were able to take care of a better than expected Lamar crew. Radford came out victorious as well, but I just can’t see it happening twice in a row and since the line is low, I’ll lay the bucket with UC-Davis here.
