The #10 West Virginia Mountaineers look to move up the college basketball polls with a win versus the Fordham Rams.
The Fordham Rams might just be 5-6 but that isn’t all that bad for a team that averages just 63 points which makes controlling the scoreboard a necessity. Fordham comes off of a 79-69 victory versus the Florida A&M Rattlers on Thursday. Florida A&M held a slight 51%-49.1% shooting edge but the Rams hit 12-25 on threes and sank more free throws.

Tre Evans was the top scorer for the Rams with 20 points with four yanks and four assists on 6-7 from the floor followed by Will Tavares with 19 points and seven rebounds on 7-15 shooting. Joseph Chartouny gave Fordham 15 points, six assists and five steals on 4-8 from the field while Prokop Slanina tossed in 14 points on 6-11.
The #10 West Virginia Mountaineers have been motoring along behind a high scoring offense and a suffocating defense. West Virginia won number ten in a row following a 77-38 rout of the Coppin State Eagles on Wednesday night. A 42-18 first half run put this in the win column with a 31.2%-23.4% shooting edge being enough with the Mountaineers managing 30 more looks at the basket.
Teddy Allen was West Virginia’s top gun with 24 points and nine rebounds on 8-19 from the floor with Jevon Carter adding 14 points, seven boards four assists and three steals on 4-9 shooting. James Bolden gave WVU 12 points and eight rebounds on 3-10 from the field while Daxter Miles Jr. tossed in eleven points and posted five pulls.
The difference in a rebuilding Fordham and West Virginia should result in a cover but it’s up to the Mountaineers to cover or just win big…
