The Arkansas State Red Wolves will try to find some consistent play after alternating wins and losses in each of their last 6 games, including a 99-68 win over subdivision Culver-Stockton last time out. Tamas Bruce led the team with 16 points and a pair of steals. Rashad Lindsey came 2nd with 15 points on 5 of 9 shooting with 3 triples, while Marquis Eaton added 14 points. Connor Kern added 3 triples as part of his 12-point night, while Grantham Gillard added 11 points while Ty Cockfield and Andrew Riley each scored 10 points in 9 minutes to round out the scoring in double figures for Arkansas State in the win. Louisiana-Monroe is 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 conference matchups while the under is 22-9 in their last 31 road games. Arkansas State is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 conference matchups and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games overall while the under is 11-5 in their last 16 home games. Louisiana-Monroe is 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.
Louisiana-Monroe comes into this one in much better form, but I can’t install any faith in the Warhawks after beating back-to-back subdivision teams and narrowly edging out a below average Grambling State team. Arkansas State is better than their record shows as the Red Wolves have been able to hang around with Wichita State as a 29-point underdog and Omaha, while also pulling off the win against FAU. Plus, the Red Wolves have had ULM’s number when it comes to the spread as of late, so I’ll lay the points with Arkansas State here.
