Big Sky college basketball features a bout between the Idaho Vandals and the North Dakota Fighting Hawks.
The Idaho Vandals have generally played well early on but enter Big Sky play off a poor performance in a 67-59 loss to the UC Irvine Anteaters as a six point favorite. Idaho trailed by six heading to the locker room with both squads hitting shots at 36% with UC Irvine owning a 17-7 advantage at the charity stripe which was decisive.

Victor Sanders was the top Vandals scorer with 17 points and three yanks on 7-17 from the floor including a 1-7 effort on long balls. Brayon Blake provided Idaho muscle on the glass with eleven points and 13 rebounds on 4-13 shooting while Perrion Callandret added ten points, four yanks and three assists on 4-11 from the field.
The North Dakota Fighting Hawks are not the team they were a season with their 4-7 record saying as much. North Dakota has dropped four in a row after an 89-83, overtime loss to the Gonzaga Bulldogs as a 30 point underdog. The Fighting Hawks held a 51.7%-44.4% shooting edge but Gonzaga totaled 14 more looks to pull out the win.
The Fighting Hawks stayed close thanks to Geno Grandall who led all scorers with 28 points with five rebounds, five assists and three steals on 9-16 from the floor including 4-7 on threes. North Dakota received 23 points, four yanks and three helpers from Cortez Seales on 11-15 while Marlon Stewart and Dale Jones netted 15 and 14 points.
Under is 7-3 in Idaho last 10 overall and Idaho are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 vs. Big Sky. Over is 9-1 in North Dakota last 10 overall and North Dakota are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 home games and over is 5-2-1 in North Dakota last 8 Friday games.
Idaho would be my choice without a doubt but they looked horrible versus UC Irvine…
