The Line: Gonzaga Bulldogs -25 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Out at McCarthey Athletic Center on Saturday, the Santa Clara Broncos will visit the Gonzaga Bulldogs on the college basketball court.

Santa Clara is currently 4-9 on the year. The Broncos had a four-game losing streak going, but won their last game versus Pepperdine. In that one, Santa Clara’s Matt Hauser led the way on 19 points.

Tops in scoring for the Broncos this year is KJ Feagin with 18.7 PPG, and Henry Caruso has 13.6 PPG and 6.9 RPG. Also in double-digits for Santa Clara are Josip Vrankic (11.0 PPG) and Hauser (10.8 PPG).

Over on the Gonzaga side, they’re sitting at 11-3 on the season. The Bulldogs have won four of their last five games versus Washington, North Dakota, IUPUI and Pacific. In that Pacific game, Rui Hachimura put up 19 points for Gonzaga.

Leading the charge in scoring for the Bulldogs this year are Johnathan Willimas (14.3 PPG; 7.6 RPG) and Josh Perkins (14.1 PPG). Also in double-digits for Gonzaga are Zach Norvell (13.1 PPG), Killian Tillie (11.9 PPG) and Silas Melson (10.1 PPG).

The Broncos are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four versus the West Coast and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five road games. Santa Clara is also 1-4-1 ATS in the last six Saturday games and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga is 21-5-1 ATS in their last 27 versus the West Coast and 36-17-2 ATS in the last 55 games overall. The Bulldogs are also 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 0-9 ATS in their last nine games following an ATS win.

Santa Clara doesn’t look like much in the win column, but statistically they’ve got some good scorers on their top end. Trouble is, they allow a lot of points, even against weaker teams. There’s a chance Santa Clara keeps up with the thick line here, and I don’t really trust Gonzaga after losing to San Diego State. I’ll take the Broncos.
