Dewan Huell was Miami’s top gun with 21 points with three assists on 7-8 from the floor including a 7-8 mark at the stripe while Bruce Brown added 20 points, six rebounds and three helpers on 8-16 shooting. The Canes received 13 points and five pulls from Dejan Vasilijevic on 4-7 from the field followed by Ja’Quan Newton and Anthony Lawrence Jr. with nine points apiece. 

The Pitt Panthers began the season slow but have since come on with wins in seven of eight. Pitt comes off of a 63-59 victory over the Towson Tigers where a 39.3%-35.5% edge in marksmanship with a 7-1 edge on long balls overcame 19 turnovers.

Parker Stewart led a balanced Pittsburgh offense with 13 points and four yanks on 4-12 from the floor while Terrell Brown added 12 points and seven boards on 5-7 accuracy. The panthers saw ten points and nine rebounds from Jared Wilson-Frame on 3-16 from the field.
