The Line: Iowa State Cyclones +3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Over at Hilton Coliseum on Monday, the Texas Longhorns and the Iowa State Cyclones will be meeting up in college basketball activity.

The Longhorns enter this game with a 9-4 record so far. Texas had a three-game win streak going but lost their last outing to Kansas. In that one, Texas’ Mohamed Bamba led the team on 22 points.

This year, Dylan Osetkowski is the leading Longhorns scorer with 14.8 PPG and 7.8 RPG, while Andrew Jones is second on 14.1 PPG. Also in double-figures for Texas are Bamba (11.8 PPG; 10.3 RPG) and Kerwin Roach (11.1 PPG).

Over on the Iowa State side, they’re currently 9-3 this year. The Cyclones had a nine-game winning streak going before falling to Kansas State in their last outing. In that game, Cyclones guard Lindell Wigginton posted 23 points.

Wigginton leads Iowa State in scoring this year with his 16.2 PPG and 4.2 RPG, while Donovan Jackson has 15.0 PPG. Nick Babb (12.6 PPG; 7.4 RPG) and Cameron Lard (10.3 PPG; 6.1 RPG) are also in the double-digit club for the Cyclones.

The Longhorns are 2-6-1 ATS in the last nine games following a straight-up loss and 2-6 ATS in their last eight overall. Texas is also 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 versus the Big 12 and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four Monday games.

Meanwhile, the Cyclones are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 versus the Big 12 and 9-4-1 ATS in the last 14 home games. Iowa State is also 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven Monday games.

Texas had a nice little run going before that Kansas loss (which ended up being fairly close at 92-86), but it’s a little concerning that the Longhorns only came up with 113 combined points in the Tennessee State and Alabama games. As for Iowa State, they got drilled by a hot-shooting Kansas State team and only logged 55 points versus UMES. There are concerns on both sides here, but I’m going with Iowa State to cover.
