The Green Bay Phoenix have been largely overlooked heading in to 2017-18 but an 80-79 victory over the Oakland Golden Grizzlies as a ten point home dog opened a few eyes. Green Bay led by six at the halfway point and barely hung on with a slight 43.5%-41.4% edge in accuracy with a 15-9 advantage at the line.
Kameron Hankerson paced five Phoenix players in the double figure soring column with 19 points and five pulls with Sandy Cohen III adding 17 points and 12 rebounds. Indiana-Purdue are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 road games and Indiana-Purdue are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall. Green Bay are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and Green Bay are 19-9-2 ATS in their last 30 vs. Horizon League.
Green Bay would be feeling great if they can open the conference slate with three wins and that’s a definite possibility…
