The Line: Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks +3 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Coming up from Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Thursday, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks will be matching up in college basketball activity.

Coastal Carolina comes into this one at 7-8 on the year. The Chanticleers have lost three of their last four games versus Wake Forest, Charleston and Texas State. In that last game, Coastal Carolina’s Zac Cuthbertson logged 19 points.

Cuthbertson leads the Chanticleers in scoring this year on 16.7 PPG and 6.9 RPG, and Jaylen Shaw is close behind on 16.0 PPG and 5.3 APG. The only other Coastal Carolina player averaging in double-digits is Demario Beck (11.1 PPG; 6.9 RPG).

Over on the UL-Monroe side, they’re currently 6-7 on the year. The Warhawks have lost their last two games versus Arkansas State and Little Rock. In that Little Rock game, Warhawks guard Sam McDaniel led the way on 19 points.

Travis Munnings is the top scorer for UL-Monroe this year on 16.2 PPG and 7.0 RPG. Also in the double-digit club for the Warhawks are Sam McDaniel (14.9 PPG) and Marvin Jean-Pierre (11.9 PPG).

Coastal Carolina is 7-1 ATS in their last eight games following an ATS loss and 8-2-1 ATS int heir last 11 following a straight-up loss. The Chanticleers are also 1-4-1 ATS in their last six Thursday games and the over is 5-0-1 ATS in their last six Thursday games.

Meanwhile, the Warhawks are 7-2 ATS in their last nine Thursday games and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games following an ATS loss. LA-Monroe is also 18-8 ATS in their last 26 home games and 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven versus the Sun Belt.

Coastal Carolina has shown some flashes this year—and they have some legitimate talent on their roster—but things have failed to click overall. You could say the same thing about UL-Monroe, as they’ve faltered when they’re not playing lesser schools. All things considered, this should be a fun game, but I like the Warhawks to keep pace here and cover.
