The Temple Owls are still on the hunt for their first conference win of the season after falling to 0-2 in AAC play thanks to a 76-73 loss to Houston in their last outing. Shizz Alston Jr. led the team with 18 points on 7 of 16 shooting with 3 threes, while Quinton Rose added 14 points and a pair of steals and Nate Pierre-Louis added 11 points with 3 steals and a pair of blocks to finish off the double digit scoring for the Owls in the win. Josh Brown added 9 points and a team-high 5 assists in the losing effort for Temple. Rose leads the team in scoring with an average of 16.5 points per game, while Brown leads the team in assists with 3.5 dimes per game and Obi Enechionyia leads the Owls on the glass with 6.5 rebounds per game this season.

Cincinnati is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 conference matchups and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games while the under is 8-2 in their last 10 games overall. Temple is 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall and 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record. Cincinnati is 0-4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams in Temple.

Cincinnati hasn’t had any success over the last couple of years when visiting Temple. However, this may be the best Cincinnati has looked in years, and are stifling teams on the defensive end. Temple has this inane ability to go on scoring droughts just when you think they’re primed for a comeback if they’re down in a game and then they come back and bite you. Plus, Temple has failed to cover at home this season, somewhere where I always say you’re supposed to do your best work, so I’ll lay the points with Cincinnati to get the job done with a win and cover on the road.
