The Line: Hofstra Pride -9 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Out at Hofstra Arena on Friday, the James Madison Dukes will be visiting the Hofstra Pride on the college basketball court.

James Madison enters this game with a 4-11 record overall. The Dukes have lost their last three games, most recently to William & Mary on Tuesday. In that one, Dukes guards Stuckey Mosley and Matt Lewis each bagged 13 points.

Mosley is the top scorer for James Madison this year with 19.3 PPG and 4.3 RPG. Also in double-figures for the Dukes so far are Joey McLean (12.3 PPG) and Lewis (10.1 PPG; 3.3 RPG).

Over on the Hofstra side, they’re sitting at 8-6 this season. The Pride had a three-game losing streak going but beat Northeastern in their last outing. In that game, Hofstra’s Justin Wright-Foreman put up 27 points.

Wright-Foreman is also the leading scorer for Hofstra on the season, with 24.4 PPG to his name. The only other Pride play with double-digit scoring is Eli Pemberton (15.5 PPG; 5.1 RPG), but Rokas Gustys is close on 9.5 PPG and 10.4 RPG.

The Dukes are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a winning straight-up record and the over is 4-0 in their last four versus the Colonial. The over is also 8-2 in the Dukes’ last 10 overall and 4-1 in their last five Friday games.

Meanwhile, Hofstra is 15-35-1 ATS in their last 51 home games and 6-14-2 ATS in their last 22 versus the Colonial. The Pride are also 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following an ATS win and 0-4 ATS in their last four Friday games.

James Madison’s record looks pretty bad—and it is—but they’ve got some genuine talent on their roster. Even though they’ve been losing, the Dukes have generally been staying in games this year. As for Hofstra they have some solid scoring up top but not much as you go down the depth chart. Still, I think Hofstra has more than enough juice here to cover.
