The Saint Peter’s Peacocks take the hardwood with the Iona Gaels in a MAAC college basketball bout.
The Saint Peter’s Peacocks look for their second conference win after downing the Monmouth Hawks 77-64 as a two point home dog. Saint Peter’s was outshot 44.7%-38.2% but mustered eight more looks at the basket while holding a 26-18 advantage at the charity stripe to win by a comfortable margin.

The Peacocks received 17 points and three yanks from Nick Griffin on 6-17 from the floor followed by Nnamdi Enechionyla on 4-10 shooting including a 3-5 mark on threes. Cameron Jones gave Saint Peter’s ten points and four pulls on 2-6 from the field while Quinn Taylor and Samuel Idowu combined for 17 points and 12 rebounds.
The Iona Gaels look to get their second conference victory after falling at the Canisius Golden Griffins 85-78 as a one point favorite. Both teams connected in the 47% range but the Golden Griffins won this with better foul shooting with the Gaels going 13-24 at the line.
Iona stayed competitive thanks to the twosome of EJ Crawford and Rickey McGill who pumped in 21 points apiece on 18-28 from the floor. Deyshonee Much gave the Gaels 14 points and 12 rebounds on 5-12 accuracy while Roland Griffin and Zach Lewis combined for 21 points and eight boards on 6-14 from the field.
