Coming up on Friday from the RAC, the Wisconsin Badgers and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights will be meeting up in college basketball activity.
The Badgers enter this game with a 9-7 record overall. Wisconsin has won their last five games straight, most recently against Indiana on Tuesday. In that one, Wisconsin’s Ethan Happ posted 28 points to lead the way.

Happ is also the lead scorer on the season for the Badgers, averaging 17.1 PPG and 8.3 RPG. Brad Davison is the only other Wisconsin player in double-figures (11.9 PPG), but D’Mitrik Trice (9.4 PPG) is close.
Over on the Rutgers side, they’re sitting at 10-6 on the year. The Knights have lost their last three games, most recently falling to Purdue Wednesday. In that game, Rutgers guard Geo Baker was tops with 11 points.
The Scarlet Knights’ top scorer this year is Corey Sanders, with 13.2 PPG and 4.6 RPG, and Baker is second with 11.9 PPG. Also in double-digits for Rutgers is Deshawn Freeman, with 11.6 pPG and a team-high 8.2 RPG .
The Badgers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four Friday games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven versus the Big Ten. Wisconsin is also 1-3-2 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win and 3-9-2 ATS in the last 14 road games.
Meanwhile, Rutgers is 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following an ATS loss. The Knights are also 5-2 ATS in their last seven Friday games and 17-38 ATS in their last 55 versus the Big Ten.
Wisconsin’s winning streak was at least a little questionable prior to that Indiana win (although the Hoosiers aren’t what everyone thought they’d be this year), but the Badgers have played well overall this season with only a couple of head-scratching losses. As for Rutgers, they’ve really been disappointing since that Seton Hall win. The Knights have lost to Stony Brook and Hartford in their last three games, matchups they should have easily handled. I can’t trust the Knights for much right now so I’m taking Wisconsin.
