The Line: Denver Pioneers +1.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Coming up on Saturday from Magness Arena, the Fort Wayne Mastodons and the Denver Pioneers will be matching up on the college basketball court.

Fort Wayne enters this game with a 11-7 record overall. the Mastodons had won two in a row, but lost their last outing versus Oral Roberts. In that one, Fort Wayne’s Bryson Scott led the team on 20 points.

Scott is also the top scorer for the Mastodons on the season with 22.8 PPG. Also in the double-digit club for the Mastodons are John Konchar (13.1 PPG: 7.9 RPG) and Kason Harrell (13.1 PPG).

Over on the Denver side, they’re sitting at 6-9 this year. The Pioneers have lost four of their last five games, most recently to South Dakota last Saturday. In that game, Pioneers center Daniel Amigo put up 17 points.

Amigo is the leading scorer for Denver on the season, and he’s got 16.3 PPG and 7.3 RPG to his credit. Joe Rosga, with 15.1 PPG, and Jake Pemberton, with 10.3 PPG, are also in double-digits for the Pioneers this year.

The Mastodons are 35-16-3 ATS in their last 54 Saturday games and 8-20-1 ATS in their last 29 games overall. Fort Wayne is also 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 versus Summit and 4-22 ATS in their last 26 road games.

Meanwhile, Denver is 1-4 ATS in their last five Saturday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus Summit. The Pioneers are also 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six home games.

Fort Wayne showed a few flashes earlier in the season—and they’ve got some legitimate scorers on their roster—but lately they’ve been getting rolled by just about any program that’s mid-level or above. As for Denver, they’ve got some solid talent on the top end but not much depth. I am begrudgingly taking Fort Wayne here but otherwise staying away.
