USA TODAY Sports
Tops in scoring for the Blue Raiders this year is Nick King, with 23.8 PPG and 7.1 RPG. Also in the double-digit club for Middle Tennessee are Potts (12.8 PPG) and Brandon Walters (10.8 PPG; 4.3 RPG).
Over on the FAU side, they’re sitting at 6-8 on the season. The Owls are on a five-game losing streak right now, and in their most recent game they fell to UAB. In that UAB matchup, the Owls had no scorers in double-figures.
Heading up the offense for FAU this year is Gerdarius Troutman with 13.5 PPG. Also in the double-digit club for the Owls are Justin Massey (13.4 PPG) and Ronald Delph (13.3 PPG; 8.7 RPG).
The Raiders are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 versus Conference USA and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 Saturday games. Middle Tennessee is also 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following an ATS loss and 28-13 ATS in their last 41 games overall.
Meanwhile, the Owls are 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. FAU is also 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a straight-up loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five versus Conference USA.
Middle Tennessee has been scoring pretty well in their losses lately, with at least 70 points in each of their last three. The last pair of games haven’t gone so well offensively but were both wins. FAU hasn’t been able to do much right during this losing streak, and the’ve managed just 101 points in their last two games combined. I can’t trust the Owls right now so I’m going with Middle Tennessee.
