Big Sky college basketball features the Montana Grizzlies hosting the Northern Colorado Bears.
The Northern Colorado Bears are expected to be a challenger in the Big Sky but the margin for error is small. Northern Colorado dropped to 2-1 in the Big Sky following a 76-64 defeat at the Montana State Bobcats where the offense came up short. The Bears were outshot 49.1%-40.3% with a 7-26 effort at the stripe and 7-13 mark at the line standing out.

Jordan Davis was the top offensive option for Northern Colorado with 18 points, five pulls and four assists on 6-12 from the floor including a 5-7 mark at the line. Andre Spight gave the Bears 13 points, seven boards and three assists on 6-20 shooting with a 1-9 effort on threes while Jonah Radebaugh chipped in with ten points.
The Montana Grizzlies are also one of the bigger names in the Big Sky and the team has kicked of conference action with a 3-0 record following a 109-79 rout of the North Dakota Fighting Hawks on Thursday as a 15 point favorite. Montana took a 21 point lead in to the intermission and never looked back with their 61.5% shooting dominating the scoreboard.
The duo of Ahmaad Rorie and Jamar Akoh poured in 22 points apiece with Akoh hauling in a contest high eleven rebounds on 16-25 from the floor. Karl Nicholas gave Montana 17 points and five boards on 8-8 marksmanship followed by a 16 point, five rebound performance from Michael Oguine on 6-9 from the field.
