UCF was once again outstanding on the defensive end and pulled away in the 2nd half after 15-6 Knights run gave UCF a 69-42 lead with 6:48 left in regulation. UCF held Memphis to 39.2% shooting from the field and forced the Tigers into committing 15 turnovers in the victory. Leading the way for the Knights was A.J. Davis who had a double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a block. On the season, UCF is averaging 65.7 ppg on 44.4% shooting from the field. Defensively, UCF is holding their opponents to an average of 60.2 ppg on 37.8% shooting from the field. The Knights have a rebound margin of 5.8 and a turnover margin of -2.1. B.J. Taylor, one of the better scorers for the Knights who had played in just one game this season, is currently listed as questionable with a foot injury.
The Owls are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall and 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games away from home. The Knights are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games.
Temple had a great start to their season with wins over Old Dominion, Auburn, and Clemson, however has struggled since then and come into this game losers of 5 of their last 6 games. The Owls have s struggled a bit on the offensive end this season and currently rank 265th in scoring offense, 219th in FG%, and 200th in 3P-FG%. UCF has played great this season without one of their best players in B.J. Taylor and has been led by their defense that ranks 6th in scoring defense and 10th in defensive FG%. Temple has the talent to complete with anyone and although they’ve struggled on the road as of late, I liked how they looked recently against Houston and Cincinnati and I think the Owls do enough on the defensive end in this one to keep it within the number. Take Temple and the points.
