The Buffalo Bulls visit the Akron Zips in a MAC college basketball tussle on Tuesday.

The Buffalo Bulls have been flexing their muscles in opening their conference schedule with back to back victories. Buffalo comes off of an 83-63 rout of the Ball State Cardinals  as a 3.5 point underdog as the team jumped to an 18 point lead at the halfway point behind a 47.7%-36.5% shooting advantage.

The balanced Bulls attack featured Jayvon Graves and Jeremy Harris scoring 16 points apiece with Harris posting seven boards. Nick Perkins gave Buffalo 15 points and eleven rebounds on 4-11 from the floor and 7-10 at the stripe with CJ Massinburg added 13 points, seven pulls and five assists  followed by a ten point effort from Wes Clark.

The Akron Zips are predicted to be a step or two behind the top teams in the MAC but it’s too early to tell if that’s true or not. Akron has dropped five of six after a 67-65 defeat at the Toledo Rockets as an 8.5 point underdog on Saturday with Toledo holding a 14-2 edge at the stripe to negate 14 fewer looks at the basket.

Daniel Utomi paced the Zips at the offensive end with 19 points and three yanks on 7-12 from the floor including 4-5 from long range. Eric Parrish gave Akron 17 points and seven boards on 8-13 shooting while Malcolm Duvivier added 14 points and five assists on 6-14 from the field.

Over is 9-2 in Buffalo last 11 road games and Buffalo are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. Over is 16-5-1 in AKR last 22 Tuesday games and under is 46-20-1 in Akron last 67 home games and Akron are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 vs. Mid-American.

Buffalo might be the best team in the conference and this game will go along way in figuring that out…
