The Line: Michigan State Spartans -22 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Up at Breslin Center on Wednesday, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and the Michigan State Spartans will meet up in college basketball action.

Rutgers enters this game with a 11-6 record overall. The Knights had a three-game losing streak going but won their last outing versus Wisconsin. In that one, Rutgers’ Corey Sanders put up 23 points to lead the team.

Sanders leads the Scarlet Knights in scoring this year with 13.8 PPG and 4.5 RPG, while Deshawn Freeman has 11.8 PPG with 7.9 RPG. Also in double-figures for Rutgers is Geo Baker with 11.6 PPG.

Over on the Michigan State side, they’re sitting at 15-2 on the year. The Spartans had logged 14 straight wins, but lost their most recent appearance at Ohio State. In that game, Michigan State’s Miles Bridges and Joshua Langford each had 17 points.

Bridges leads the Spartans in scoring with 16.9 PPG and 7.6 RPG, and Nick Ward is second on 14.7 PPG and 7.5 RPG. Also in double-digits for Michigan State are Langford (13.9 PPG, Cassius Winston (12.8 PPG) and Jaren Jackson (10.8 PPG).

Rutgers is 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a straight-up win and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. The Knights are also 18-38 ATS in their last 56 versus the Big Ten and 8-19 ATS in their last 27 road games.

Meanwhile, the Spartans are 5-1 ATS in their last six Wednesday games and 5-1 ATS in their last six overall. Michigan State is also 26-12 ATS in their last 38 versus the Big Ten and 37-18 ATS in their last 55 home games.

Rutgers looked pretty bad in that losing streak, and only put up 109 points during a two-game stretch. As for Michigan State, they put up a head-scratching 64 points in that Ohio State game and simply looked lost. Still, I like the Spartans to bounce back here and cover.
