Over at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium on Wednesday, the Harvard Crimson and the Wofford Terriers will be meeting up on the college basketball court.
Harvard enters this game at 6-9 on the year. The Crimson had lost three games in a row but won their last one versus Dartmouth. In that one, Harvard’s Seth Towns put up 16 points to lead the team.
USA TODAY Sports
Bryce Aiken leads the Crimson in scoring this year with 16.0 PPG, and Towns is sitting on 12.7 PPG and 5.3 RPG. The only other Harvard player averaging in double-digits this year is Chris Lewis with 11.5 PPG.
Over on the Terriers side, they’re sitting at 10-5 this season. Wofford has won seven of their last eight games, most recently taking out the Citadel on Saturday. In that game, Wofford’s Nathan Hoover put up 21 points.
Fletcher Magee is the leading Terriers scorer on 23.3 PPG, and Cameron Jackson has 12.5 PPG and 7.0 RPG. Also in the double-digits club for Wofford are Trevor Stumpe (10.5 PPG) and Hoover (10.1 PPG).
Harvard is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 games following a straight-up win. The Crimson are also 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Wednesday games and the under is 4-0 in their last four overall.
Meanwhile, the Terriers are 4-0 ATS in the last four games following a straight-up win and 4-1 ATS in their last five Wednesday games. Wofford is also 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games following an ATS win and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 non-conference games.
Harvard has been in something of a scoring slump lately, and they’ve failed to top 56 points in four of their last five games. As for Wofford, they’ve been looking pretty good since late November aside from a 67-point dud versus UNC Greensboro. I think the Terriers have the scoring capabilities to cover here.
