Thursday college basketball gives us a Colonial tilt between the Delaware Blue Hens and the Drexel Dragons.
The Drexel Dragons have been up and down throughout the early going with the offense and defense needing to get on the same page more often. Drexel comes in off of an 85-63 loss to the visiting William & Mary Tribe on Sunday where an eleven point deficit at the half slowly grew with the Dragons getting outshot 50%-41.7%.

Drexel was limited at the offensive end with Alihan Demir and Tramaine Isabell giving the offense 14 points apiece with a combined ten rebounds on 11-19 from the floor. Troy Harper and Kurk Lee added seven points apiece for the Dragons with Lee logging five helpers.
The Delaware Blue Hens likely don’t have the horses to make a run at the Colonial title but there is enough talent where they can’t be overlooked. Delaware evened their CAA record 2-2 with a one sided 96-76 win versus the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks as a 3.5 point favorite. The Blue Hen rode a 58.6%-41.3% marksmanship edge to pull away in the second half.
Delaware saw Ryan Daly pour in a game high 27 points with seven boards on 11-19 from the floor followed by Ryan Allen with 23 points on 9-15 accuracy. The Blue Hens received 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists from Anthony Mosley on 5-9 from the field while Eric Carter added 13 points and five pulls on 4-5.
Drexel are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and Drexel are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss and Drexel are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 vs. Colonial Athletic Association. Delaware s are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record and Delaware are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games and Delaware are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games.
I think Delaware will heat up at some point during their CAA schedule and this is a winnable game…
