We have some MAAC-tion on the college basketball schedule Thursday night, as the Siena Saints take on the Iona Gaels.

Prince Oduro came next with 13 points and Jordan Horn added 3 triples as part of his 12 point performance to round out the quartet of Saints to finish in double figures scoring in the win. The Iona Gaels will look to keep the momentum going after improving to 3-1 in conference play thanks to an 84-65 win over Fairfield in their last outing. Deyshonee Much led the team with 32 points on 9 of 13 shooting with 6 threes and a perfect 8 for 8 mark from the foul line, along with 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals. Rickey McGill came 2nd with 13 points with 7 assists of his own along with a pair of steals, while TK Edogi and Schadrac Casimir each added 11 points and Jan Svandrlik chipped in 10 to finish off the double digit scoring for the Gaels in the win. Edogi added 12 rebounds while shooting a perfect 5 of 5 from the floor for the double-double, while Casimir added 3 triples. McGill leads the Gaels with an average of 14.2 points and 5 assists per game, while Edogi is the team’s top rebounder with 7.8 boards per game this season. As a team, Iona is scoring 77.8 points per game on 44.6% shooting from the field, 38.2% from behind the arc and 74.6% from the foul line this season.
Siena is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games following a win. Iona is 6-14-1 ATS in their last 21 games following a win and 14-5-2 ATS in their last 21 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 conference matchups. Siena is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings between these two teams at Iona.
Iona is the better team here, there’s no question about that in my opinion. However, this is a lot of points to lay with a Siena team that has some positive vibes going after picking up their first conference win and have had the bulk of the success ATS when it comes to playing at Iona, so I’ll take a shot with the Saints and the points here.
