The Wright State Raiders go on the road to face the Northern Kentucky Norse in a college basketball bout on Thursday.
The Wright State Raiders lost some productive talent to graduation and were not considered a top threat but the team has won five straight including a 4-0 start in the Horizon. Wright State upended the Oakland Golden Grizzlies 86-81 in overtime Sunday as 7.5 point road dog. The Raiders held a 47.5%-35.7% to survive 19 turnovers and nine more Oakland shots.

Loudon Love saved the Raiders with 25 points and a contest high 17 rebounds along with five blocks on 9-14 from the floor followed by Mark Hughes with 19 points, five assists and five steals. Grant Benzinger gave Wright State 14 points and ten rebounds while Cole Gentry added ten points and seven helpers on 3-6.
The Northern Kentucky Norse are labeled as a top challenger in the Horizon and with good reason with both the ability to score and defend. Northern Kentucky is off to a 4-0 start in conference after downing the Detroit Titans 56-54 as a 13 point road favorite. Both teams sank shots at around 33% with the Norse hitting a few more threes and free throws.
