The UAB Blazers will look to keep their momentum going with wins in 5 of their last 6 games after improving to 2-1 in C-USA play with a 75-64 win over FIU in their last outing. Chris Cokley led the team with 18 points on 7 of 10 shooting with a team-high 9 rebounds, while Zack Bryant added 16 points and a pair of steals. Nate Darling chipped in 13 points to round out the trio of double digit scorers for UAB in the win, while Nick Norton added 8 points along with a team-high 5 assists in the winning effort. Cokley leads the Blazers by averaging 17.4 points and 9.5 rebounds per game while Norton is the team’s leading assist man, dishing out 4.1 assists per game this season. As a team, UAB is scoring 79.4 points per game on 49.1% shooting from the field, 36.2% from behind the arc and 78.5% from the foul line, the 6th-best free throw percentage in the country this season.
Southern Miss is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 Thursday games while the over is 6-1 in their last 7 games overall. UAB is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the under is 7-1 in their last 8 home games. Southern Miss is 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams at UAB.
UAB has had the bulk of the success ATS when these two teams meet, but I think Vegas is taking advantage of that and this line is a bit too thick in my opinion. Southern Miss is lighting it up in their back-to-back wins, and while they haven’t been strong offensively on the whole this season, I think the Golden Eagles have enough going to at least pull out a cover so I’ll take the points in this one.
