The Line: UTEP Miners -5.5 -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

Coming up from Don Haskins Center on Thursday, the Florida Atlantic Owls and the UTEP Miners will be locking horns on the college basketball court.

FAU enters this game with a 6-9 record on the year. The Owls have lost their last six games straight, most recently falling to Middle Tennessee on Saturday. In that game, FAU center Ronald Delph logged 17 points to lead the team.

On the year, Delph is also the top FAU scorer with 13.2 PPG and 8.8 RPG. Also in the double-digit club for the Owls are Gerdarius Troutman (12.9 PPG) and Justin Massey (12.6 PPG).

Over on the UTEP side, they’re currently 6-10 this year. The Miners have lost their last two games, most recently to Louisiana Tech on Saturday. In that one, UTEP’s Isiah Osborne put up 25 points.

Heading up the scoring this year for the Miners is Keith Frazier with 14.5 PPG and 6.2 RPG. Also in double-digits for UTEP are Omega Harris (12.1 PPG) and Matt Willms (11.0 PPG; 5.4 RPG; nine games).

The Owls are 2-6 ATS in their last seven games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games. FAU is also 0-5 ATS in the last five Thursday games and 0-5 ATS in the last five following an ATS win.

Meanwhile, the Miners are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 Thursday games and 13-3 ATS in the last 16 home games. UTEP is also 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games overall and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 versus Conference USA.

FAU has been floundering on the scoreboard lately. The Owls have hit 60 points in just one of their last five games, and in none of their last three. The Miners seem to be scoring better (at least 75 in each of their last three) but are also giving up a lot of points (at least 85 in each of their last two). I think UTEP has the better offense here so they’ve got a decent shot at covering.
