We have some Pac-12 college basketball action on the schedule Thursday night, as the Stanford Cardinal and the Washington State Cougars duke it out.
The Stanford Cardinal will look to build some momentum after back-to-back conference wins following a narrow 77-76 win over USC in their last outing. Reid Travis led the team with 29 points on 10 of 14 shooting with 10 rebounds, 7 on the offensive glass, for the double-double. Michael Humphrey came 2nd with 15 points on 7 of 13 shooting and Kezie Okpala added 11 points with 3 steals to round out the trio of double digit scorers for the Cardinal in the win. Daejon Davis added 9 points with a pair of steals and a team-high 6 assists in the winning effort for Stanford as well. Travis leads the team in scoring with an average of 21.2 points per game, while Humphrey leads the team on the glass with 8.4 rebounds per game and Davis leads the team in assists with 4.4 helpers per game this season. As a team, Stanford is scoring 75.3 points per game on 45.8% shooting from the field, 33.9% from behind the arc and 69.7% from the foul line this season.

The Washington State Cougars will still be looking for their first conference win of the year after losing 3 straight and 7 of 9 following a 70-65 loss to Washington in their last outing. Robert Franks led the team with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks for the double-double. Viont’e Daniels came 2nd with 13 points, while Drick Bernstine added 10 points and 7 rebounds to round out the trio of double digit scorers for the Cougars in the losing effort. Franks leads the team in scoring with 17.9 points per game, while Bernstine is the team’s top rebounder with 7.5 rebounds per game and Malachi Flynn leads the team in assists with 4.1 helpers per game this season. As a team, Washington State is scoring 75.8 points per game on 44.7% shooting from the field, 38.4% from behind the arc and 72.7% from the foul line this season.
Stanford is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record and 9-26-1 ATS in their last 36 road games while the over is 3-0-1 in their last 4 conference matchups. Washington State is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 home games against a team with a losing road record and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games while the under is 37-18 in their last 55 games overall. Stanford is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams at Washington State and 15-5-2 ATS in the last 22 meetings overall.
These two teams are on the same tier in the Pac-12 in my opinion, and the line reflects that with it almost being a pick ‘em. However, the difference for me here is that Stanford has shown in years past that they can go into Washington State and cover and have done well against the Cougars overall, so I’ll lay the point with Stanford for a road win here.
