Friday night college basketball gives us a matchup between the Penn Quakers and the Cornell Big Red.
The Cornell Big Red enter Ivy League play off of a 93-69 rout of the subdivision Central Pennsylvania College Knights. This was over at the break with Cornell up by 17 points at the half behind a 50.8%-31.8% edge in marksmanship including a 13-29 effort from beyond the arc.

Matt Morgan topped the Big Red scoring spree with 21 points, six boards and four assists on 8-16 from the floor. Stone Gettings and Jack Gordon each tossed in 15 points with Gettings hauling in nine rebounds and handing out six assists while Bryan Knapp netted 12 points on 4-5 accuracy.
The Penn Quakers will be shooting for a 2-0 start to their Ivy League schedule after downing the Princeton Tigers 76-70 as a 2.5 point favorite. Penn held a 51.9%-45.5% shooting edge with five players scoring in double figures.
Ryan Bentley was the top Quakers offensive weapon with 21 points and five pulls on 8-11 from the floor with three long balls followed by Antonio Woods with 13 points and four yanks on 4-9 shooting. AJ Brodeur gave Penn 12 points and eight rebounds on 4-11 while Max Rothschild and Darnell Foreman combined for 21 points.
Over is 12-1 in Penn last 13 overall and Penn are 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 Friday games. Underdog is 9-2-2 ATS in the last 13 meetings and over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings.
The spread is large as expected and a little too big for me to take the Quakers. Penn has the blowout potential but I’m still taking the points…
