The Dartmouth Big Green are gunning for the upset of the Boston College Eagles in a non-conference college basketball bout.

At 4-9, the Dartmouth Big Green need some momentum with the Ivy League schedule about to get hot and heavy. Dartmouth struggled defensively in a 91-78 defeat to the visiting Vermont Catamounts on Wednesday. Taylor Johnson was the top Dartmouth scoring option at 17 points on 7-10 from the floor including 3-5 from distance followed by Chris Knight with 14 points on 5-7 accuracy. Brendan Barry gave the Big Green 13 points and five assists on 4-7 from the field and a 3-3 effort on threes while Will Emery added ten points and five pulls on 4-4.

The Boston College Eagles won’t be judged by their 11-6 record but what happens in the ACC where the team is off to a 1-3 start following a 96-66 loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels as a 13.5 point road dog. Boston College trailed by 15 at the half and their 38.7% shooting could not match the Tar Heels 50% accuracy and 16 more looks.

The Eagles were led in the soring column by Ky Bowman with 21 points with four yanks and five assists on 8-18 from the floor including a 4-12 mark on threes. Jerome Robinson gave BC 15 points on 6-13 shooting while Jordan Chatman and Steffon Mitchell tossed in eleven points apiece with Mitchell hauling in ten rebounds.

Dartmouth are 16-35-1 ATS in their last 52 non-conference games and Dartmouth are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. Atlantic Coast. Boston College are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and Boston College are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Ivy League.

I think we have to go on potential here and an improve Boston College should put up a big number…
