Up at McGuirk Arena on Saturday, the Toledo Rockets and the Central Michigan Chippewas will be meeting up in college basketball action.

Toledo enters this one with a 10-6 record overall. The Rockets have won five of their last six games, and took out Western Michigan on Tuesday. In that one, Toledo guard Tre’Shaun Fletcher put up 21 points.

Fletcher is the leading scorer on the season for Toledo with 18.0 PPG and a team-high 8.5 RPG, while Jaelan Sanford is second on 16.4 PPG. Also in the double-figures club for the Rockets are Nate Navigato (12.9 PPG) and Luke Knapke (11.5 PPG).

As for Central Michigan, they’re siting at 12-4 this year. The Chippewas have lost their last two games to Kent State and Eastern Michigan. In that Tuesday game, Central Michigan’s Cecil Williams had 23 points to lead the way.

Williams heads up the Chippewa offense this year with 14.9 PPG, while David DiLeo has 13.9 PPG and a team-high 7.2 RPG. Also in double-digits for Central Michigan this year is Shawn Roundtree with 13.6 PPG and 3.8 APG.

The Rockets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games and 5-2 ATS in the last seven games following an ATS win. Toledo is also 9-4 ATS in their last 13 versus the MAC and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Meanwhile, the Chippewas are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Central Michigan is also 2-9 ATS in they last 11 versus the MAC and 1-6 ATS in the last seven games following an ATS loss.

The Rockets have been playing pretty well on the road lately; aside from a weird loss to Buffalo on January 2 they’ve won their last three road outings. That said, the Chippewas are faring much better at home and haven’t lost there all year. I’m going to go with Central Michigan to bag a cover here.
