The #23 Florida State Seminoles will also be looking to rebound from a 1-3 start to ACC play following their 73-69 loss to Louisville in their last outing. Terance Mann led the team with 25 points on 9 of 14 shooting with a pair of threes and 8 rebounds, while Braian Angola added 18 points with a pair of blocks as the only other Seminole to score in double figures in the losing effort. Phil Cover added 3 points with a team-high 10 rebounds as well in the loss for FSU. Mann leads Florida State by averaging 15.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game this season, while Trent Forrest is the team’s leading assist getter by averaging 3.9 assists per game this year. As a team, Florida State is scoring 83.6 points per game on 48% shooting from the field, 37.2% from behind the arc and 66.6% from the foul line this season.
Syracuse is 14-35-2 ATS in their last 51 Saturday games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a loss while the over is 20-5-1 in their last 26 road games. Florida State is 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 home games while the under is 6-2-1 in their last 9 conference matchups. The home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings between these two teams.
Neither of these two teams have been anything to write home about as of late, and there’s not much splitting the two. However, after doing some digging, I noticed that the two times that Syracuse has visited FSU since 2014, the games have resulted in a road win for the Orange and a 5 point game in their most recent visit. I think these two teams are closer than the line would suggest, so I’ll take the points with Syracuse in what is a lean at best.
