Over at Williams Arena on Saturday, the Purdue Boilermakers and the Minnesota Golden Gophers will be meeting up in college basketball activity.

Purdue comes into this game with a 16-2 record overall. the Boilermakers are sitting on a nice 10-game winning streak, most recently taking out Michigan on Tuesday. In that one, Purdue’s Carsen Edwards put up 19 points.

USA TODAY Sports

Edwards is the leading scorer for Purdue this year with 16.9 PPG, while Isaac Haas is second on 14.8 PPG and 5.4 RPG. Also in double-digits for the Boilermakers are Vincent Edwards (13.8 PPG; 8.4 RPG) and Dakota Mathias (13.8 PPG; 4.6 APG).

Over on the Minnesota side, they’re currently 13-5 on the year. The Gophers have lost their last two games, most recently falling to Northwestern. In that Wednesday game, Minnesota guard Dupree McBrayer put up 14 points.

This season, Jordan Murphy leads the Gophers with 18.3 PPG and 12.1 PPG, while Nate Mason is second on 15.6 PPG. Also in double-figures for Minnesota are Amir Coffey (14.1 PPG) and Reggie Lynch (10.1 PPG).

Purdue is 11-2-2 ATS in the last 15 Sunday games and 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 following an ATS loss. The under is 4-0 in the Boilermakers’ last four versus the Big Ten and the over is 6-1 in their last seven Saturday games.

Meanwhile, the Gophers are 2-7 ATS in their last nine overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five following a straight-up loss. The under is 4-0 in the Gophers’ last four overall and 4-0 in their last four versus the Big Ten.

Purdue has been rolling against weaker competition since late November, but they did have a bit of a scare with a 70-69 win over Michigan. As for Minnesota, they hung in there against Indiana but got crushed by Northwestern. Still, I like the Gophers to bounce back here and at least bang out a cover.
