The Sacramento State Hornets had hoped to regroup and right the ship in the early stages of their conference slate but the team has dropped three in a row in the Big Sky capped off by a 78-66 loss to the Montana Grizzlies. Justin Strings kept the Hornets competitive until late with 20 points and nine rebounds on 6-11 from the floor and an 8-12 mark at the stripe with Jordan Tolbert tossing in 13 points on 4-6 shooting. Izayah Mauriohooho-Le’afa tossed in ten points while Joshua Patton gave the Hornets nine points.
