The #13 Seton Hall Pirates will be looking to rebound after having their 5 game winning streak snapped with their first conference loss of the season in an 84-64 loss to Marquette in their last outing. Ismael Sanogo led the team with 14 points on 6 of 8 shooting with a pair of threes and 6 rebounds in just 18 minutes. Angel Delgado came 2nd with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks for the double-double, while Desi Rodriguez added 11 points and 6 assists to round out the trio of double digits scorers for the Pirates in the loss. Khadeen Carrington also added a team-high 7 assists in the loss. Rodriguez leads the team in scoring with 18.2 points per game while Carrington leads in assists with 4.1 helpers per game and Delgado is averaging a double-double per game with 14.4 points to go along with his team-high average of 11.6 rebounds per game this year. As a team, Seton Hall is scoring 80.4 points per game on 48% shooting from the field, 37.6% from behind the arc and 66.9% from the foul line this season.
Georgetown is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record. Seton Hall is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 conference matchups while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 home games against a team with a winning road record. The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
Say what you want about Georgetown, that they’ve played a weak schedule to start the year and haven’t played consistently as of yet, but they’re still a decent basketball team that have covered all 4 of their lined road games this season. Seton Hall may be the better team here and have the higher ceiling come season’s end, but their loss to Marquette was a real eye opener and I think Georgetown can at least keep this one within single digits, so I’ll take the points with the Hoyas here.
