Furman is off to a 4-0 start in the conference after throttling the Chattanooga Mocs 73-53 as a 7.5 point road favorite. Matt Rafferty was Furman’s top offensive weapon with 17 points with four yanks and three steals on 8-11 from the floor with Andrew Brown next in line with 16 points and four assists on 7-10 accuracy. Daniel Fowler and Devin Sibley each scored nine points with Sibley hauling in ten rebounds while John Davis III gave the Paladins seven points.
The Wofford Terriers dropped their conference opener but have reeled off three straight wins after a 63-62 decision versus the Harvard Crimson as a 5.5 point favorite. Both teams sank shots at around 40% with Wofford hitting more threes while connecting on 12-14 at the charity stripe.
Fletcher Magee carried the Terriers attack with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists on 5-18 from the floor including 3-13 from long range.
