Saturday afternoon college basketball features the Wyoming Cowboys hosting the Colorado State Rams.
The Colorado State Rams have been outscored 75.5-71 on the season and need to reverse those numbers to become more of a factor in the Mountain West. Colorado State picked up their second conference win in an 84-75 decision at the Utah State Aggies as a 7.5 point underdog. The Rams jumped to a ten point lead at the break behind a 46.3%-42.1% shooting edge and ten more free throws.

Colorado State rode the offense of Prentiss Nixon who led all scorers with 26 points and four steals on 8-14 from the floor with a 4-6 effort on long balls followed by Che Bob adding 19 points and seven boards. Nico Carvacho gave the Rams ten points and 15 rebounds while Lorenzo Jenkins and Anthony Bonner combined for 17 points.
On paper the Wyoming Cowboys look like a tough out although the defensive end of the floor needs a boost. Wyoming dropped to 2-2 in the Mountain West following a 75-66 defeat at the New Mexico Lobos as a 2.5 point underdog. The Cowboys held a small 48.1%-46% shooting edge but New Mexico sank more threes and free throws.
Wyoming relied heavily on the production of Justin James who responded with a contest high 31 points with three yanks and three assists on 11-18 from the floor and 7-8 at the line. Hayden Dalton gave the Cowboys ten points and eight rebounds on 4-10 while Louis Adams chipped in with eight points on 3-5.
Over is 8-1 in Colorado State last 9 road games and Colorado State are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 road games and are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games. Wyoming are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. Mountain West and Wyoming are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games and over is 45-20 in Wyoming last 65 vs. Mountain West.
The spread is about right but I think the Cowboys at home should be prepared for a game that can’t go in the loss column…
