We have some Pac-12 conference action on the hardwood late Saturday night, as the #9 Arizona Wildcats take on the Washington Huskies in a college basketball matchup.

The #9 Arizona Wildcats will look for another win to add to their current 7 game winning streak following a 100-72 win over Washington State in their last outing. DeAndre Ayton led the Wildcats with 25 points on 11 of 12 shooting with 11 rebounds for the double-double while Allonzo Trier came right behind in 2nd with 24 points on 8 of 9 shooting, hitting all 4 of his attempts from downtown with 9 rebounds. Rawle Atkins added 16 points on 6 of 8 shooting, also hitting 4 for 4 from behind the arc in just 16 minutes on the floor while Dusan Ristic added 12 points with 9 rebounds to round out the quartet of double-digit scorers for the Wildcats in the win. Parker Jackson-Cartwright chipped in a team-high 4 assists in the winning effort as well for ‘Zona. Trier leads Arizona in scoring with 19.9 points per game while Ayton is averaging a double-double per game with 19.7 points to go along with his team-high average of 10.7 rebounds and Jackson-Cartwright is the Wildcats’ leading assist man with 5 helpers per game this season. As a team, Arizona is scoring 82.5 points per game while shooting the 3rd-best field goal percentage in the country at 51.4% from the field. The Washington Huskies will look for another win to add to their current 3 game winning streak following a 68-64 victory over Arizona State in their last outing. Noah Dickerson led the Huskies with 21 points along with 16 rebounds for the double-double while Jaylen Nowell came 2nd with 15 points along with 9 rebounds and a team-high 3 assists. David Crisp added 12 points to round out the trio of double digit scorers for the Huskies in the win, while Matisse Thybulle added 9 points with a whopping 6 steals in the win. Nowell leads UW in scoring with 16.6 points per game while Dickerson leads the Huskies in rebounding with 8.1 rebounds per game and Crisp leads the way in assists with 3.1 assists per game this season. As a team, Washington is scoring 75.9 points per game on 46.5% shooting from the field, 33.9% from behind the arc and 68.4% from the foul line this season.

Arizona is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 conference matchups and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a win while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 road games. Washington is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games while the under is 25-4 in their last 29 conference matchups. The under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings between these two teams.

Arizona is going to make waves in the tournament come March. However, let’s not act like Washington isn’t playing some solid basketball right now, holding a very good Arizona State offense to just 64 points. The Huskies have actually held their opposition to 64 points or less in each of their last 3 games, and will need guys like Dickerson and Nowell to keep things going if the Huskies want to complete the sweep of Arizona schools in a week. However, I think Washington has enough going for them to keep this one close if not pull of the outright upset, so I’ll take the free points with Washington at home here.
