The Navy Midshipmen look for a spark of consistency after splitting their last 12 games. The Navy Midshipmen are averaging 68.1 points on 43.9 percent shooting and allowing 68.7 points on 46 percent shooting. Shawn Anderson is averaging 13.5 points and 3.1 assists while Bryce Dulin is averaging 10.8 points and 2.9 rebounds. Hasan Abdullah is the third double-digit scorer and George Kiernan is grabbing 4.6 rebounds. The Navy Midshipmen are shooting 31.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72.4 percent from the free throw line. The Navy Midshipmen are allowing 38.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 30.7 rebounds per game. The Navy Midshipmen have lost three straight home games.
The Raiders are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 road games. The Midshipmen are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. Patriot League and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The under is 5-2-1 in Midshipmen last 8 overall and the over is 7-3 in Raiders last 10 vs. Patriot League.
I'm not buying the Navy Midshipmen being the favorite in this contest. Navy has had trouble with consistent play all season long and has lost three straight at home. Navy is also outscoring teams by just 0.7 points at home this season, so it's not like home court means much to this team. Also, Colgate won the meeting a month ago by eight points and has won four of the last six meetings against Navy overall. There's just not a lot to like with Navy in this spot. Give me my free bucket.
